System Requirements

MenuPlat is a web-based platform — there is nothing to install on your computer. This page covers what you need to use MenuPlat for both management (the dashboard) and displaying menus on screens.

To manage your menus, stores, and settings through the MenuPlat dashboard, you need:

Any modern, up-to-date browser works:

BrowserMinimum Version
Google Chrome90+
Mozilla Firefox88+
Apple Safari14+
Microsoft Edge90+

We recommend Google Chrome for the best experience. Older browsers or Internet Explorer are not supported.

A stable internet connection is required. MenuPlat is a cloud-based platform — all data is stored and processed online.

  • Minimum recommended speed: 5 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload
  • A faster connection improves media upload speeds

No specific OS requirement. MenuPlat works on:

  • Windows 10 / 11
  • macOS 11+
  • Linux (any modern distribution)
  • ChromeOS

MenuPlat display screens show your menu content on TVs, monitors, or tablets in your restaurant. The display runs entirely in a browser.

  • Any device with a Google Chrome browser (recommended) or Chromium-based browser
  • A stable internet connection at the display location
  • The device must be able to open a URL (your display URL is provided in the dashboard)

For the best reliability on a dedicated display screen, we recommend:

  1. A mini PC (e.g., Intel NUC, Beelink, etc.) or Raspberry Pi 4/5 connected to your TV via HDMI
  2. Running Google Chrome in kiosk mode pointing to your MenuPlat display URL
  3. Setting Chrome to launch automatically on startup

This provides a stable, always-on display that restarts automatically and never shows a desktop.

Customers viewing your QR menu on their own devices need:

  • Any smartphone or tablet with a camera and browser
  • No app installation required — the QR menu opens in their mobile browser
  • Works on iOS Safari, Android Chrome, and all other modern mobile browsers

You do not need Node.js, npm, or any developer tools to use MenuPlat. The platform is fully managed — just sign up and use it in your browser.
